NFL DRAFTIGAMI

A first-ever pick combination, backed by an archive.

Media kit

Draftigami asks one small question of every NFL draft pick: has this position ever been taken at this exact slot? When the answer is no, a square on the chart fills in for the first time.

The archive covers the Common Draft since 1967, rounds 1 through 7, and splits the offensive line, the defensive line and the secondary into their specific positions. A first here means a first inside that window. Where an old defensive back was never pinned down as a corner or a safety, the claim says so. The cards and the display below are free to use with credit to Draftigami / Andy Martin and a link to the archive.

Jake Slaughter

Center at #63 · Los Angeles Chargers · Florida · Round 2

Sixty drafts have reached a 63rd pick. Teams spent it on seven running backs, seven receivers, six guards and one quarterback, and never on a center. Centers had gone 61st, 62nd, 64th and 65th. The Chargers took Florida's Jake Slaughter here in the second round, and the gap closed.
